The City of Manhattan Beach is now accepting applications for a part-time Ambulance Operator. Under supervision, the Ambulance Operator performs basic life support care, performs EMT skills and operates medical emergency equipment and vehicles, assists with department support functions and performs other related duties as assigned.
HOURS: Part-Time positions will not work over 960 hours per fiscal year. Will be required to work shifts, weekends, and/or holidays.
Education: High School graduation or G.E.D. is required.
Experience: Completion of 240-hour California Fire Academy or equivalent, and/or Technology college classes is highly desirable.
Licenses: Must possess a valid California "C" driver's license. California DMV Ambulance Driver certificate and acceptable driving record at time of employment.
- California EMT-1 certificate with current CPR card
- Current Los Angeles/Orange County Fire Chief's Physical Agility Exam (Biddle) or Candidate Physical Ability Test (CPAT)
