Items too large or valuable for the trash

Do you need to get rid of furniture, electronic waste or workout equipment?  Waste Management (WM), the City's refuse hauler, will pick up bulky-items from the curb.  Residents and multi-family dwellings receive three FREE pick-ups each year and commercial businesses pay $15 each for white goods with CFCs and $10 each for all other items. 

To schedule a pick-up:

• Call Waste Management at least 48 hours before your normal collection day at (310) 830-7100 and ask for a "Bulky-Item Pick-Up"
• WM will give you a scheduled date to place your item(s) on the curb in front of your business or residence - appointments are typically scheduled for your normal collection day
• Place your items clearly on the curb (do not place them on your private property) 

The items collected will be inspected by Waste Management for reuse as is, disassembly for reuse or recycling, or will be recycled.  If the item cannot be reused or recycled it will be disposed of at a landfill.
