Engineering Division

The primary responsibility of the Engineering Division is the design and construction of the City's infrastructure (streets, water system, sewer system, storm drain system, park facilities, City buildings, and transportation/traffic systems), including the design and administration of the annual Capital Improvement Program.  To find out more about the City's Capital Improvement Program, including information on current and future Capital Improvement Plan projects, please refer to the navigation bar on the left or simply click here.

Engineering staff also provides support to the Community Development Department in reviewing private development proposals and their impact on City facilities and resources. Other responsibilities of Engineering include the review of proposals from other public agencies, review and approval of parcel maps, and the maintenance of record drawings, general element maps (zoning, water/sewer/storm drain, tract maps), aerial photographs, topographic maps, and survey data.
