The City of Manhattan Beach offers several different types of recreation and art camps, after school programs, holiday camps and classes. Join us this season and have the time of your life! A comprehensive swimming program is offered at Begg Pool year around. This includes swim lessons, recreational swimming, lap swimming, a youth swim team, and more.


As the home of beach volleyball, Manhattan Beach offers a wide variety of classes and camps for every level. There are also tournaments for youth throughout the year.

Dance, theater, filmmaking, acting, and more await your youth this season. Classes and camps vary each season so check back occasionally to see what is being offered.

The REC Program is a user-pay program that is open to children 5½ to 12 and offers programming during the school year.


REC Camp is open to children 5½ to 12 and operates during Manhattan Beach Unified School District breaks.


REC Summer Camp is open to children 6 to 12 and operates for eight (8) weeks during the summer. Beach days, trips and more!

Sports and Fitness-Youth

Each season there are leagues, classes and tournaments offered in a variety of sports for youths ages 3 and up.


Try out something new this summer! Legos, surfing, tennis, soccer, baking, cooking and much more are being offered.


Tennis classes and camps are offered for youth ages 3 and up. Classes vary each season so check back to see what's new.

Visual Arts - Youth

Explore the world of visual arts, from ceramics to drawing to painting to mixed media, there is something for everyone.

Volunteers - Youth

There are several opportunities for youth groups or individuals to volunteer in our programs, at special events, etc.

A variety of programs, resources, activities and classes for all members of our community, including children with special needs.
