The health and safety of our community remains top priority. Due to COVID-19, all picnic pads, recreation and athletic facilities/basketball courts/fields and playgrounds are CLOSED. Green space in all parks, tennis/paddle ball/pickleball courts, dog runs and some batting cages have opened. Please visit the Parks and Facilities page for more information.  
We encourage you to check out Healthy at Home for tips on how to stay active and recreate from the comfort of your own home. There are activities and classes for all ages.

REC Program: CLOSED due to Memorial Day

After School REC and After School REC with Extended Care: CLOSED due to Labor Day

REC Program is closed today in observance of Memorial Day.
Normal hours will resume on Tuesday, May 31, 2016.

After School REC
This is the main component of the After School REC program. After School REC is a user pay program for children ages 6 to 12 years old. The cost of the program (see chart below) includes all after school days and school district half days*, local holidays**, and Martin Luther King Junior Day**. It does not include vacation days or summer camps. This program is closed on Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year's Day, and Memorial Day.

After School REC with Extended Care
In addition to the program at the park, After School REC has an Extended Care Program for parents of children in grades 1 through 5, attending Pacific, Pennekamp, Grand View and Meadows Elementary schools.  On days the program is in operation, fully trained recreation leaders will meet children at each of these Elementary Schools and walk them to Live Oak Park and Manhattan Heights Park, respectively, in order to participate in the After School REC program. Leaders will depart each day 10 minutes after last dismissal bell of the day.

REC Summer Camp
REC Summer Camp is a user pay program for children ages 5½ to 12. This recreation program incorporates education and fun. We strive to provide these services in a fun, safe and wholesome environment that allows our young people to grow as individuals while interacting as a group. Children are encouraged to participate in all scheduled activities; however, if they choose not to, alternate activities are available. All programs are supervised by trained CPR certified recreation leaders.
