The health and safety of our community remains top priority. Due to COVID-19, all picnic pads, recreation and athletic facilities/basketball courts/fields and playgrounds are CLOSED. Green space in all parks, tennis/paddle ball/pickleball courts, dog runs and some batting cages have opened. Please visit the Parks and Facilities page for more information.  
 
We encourage you to check out Healthy at Home for tips on how to stay active and recreate from the comfort of your own home. There are activities and classes for all ages.

The City is closely monitoring updates about the coronavirus from a variety of sources. Information regarding the coronavirus is changing frequently. For accurate and up to date information about COVID-19, please visit DPH's website, the City's website, sign up for eNotifications and Nixle public safety alerts, and follow the City on Facebook, Twitter, Nextdoor, and Instagram.

LIVE: Costumed Figure Drawing

  • Introduction: Hang out with your friends and work on your figure drawing skills with a live costumed model. No instructors and no pressure – draw as you feel! Attendees should bring their own materials; easels will be provided if necessary.

The Manhattan Beach Art Center (MBAC) is excited to present LIVE, a free series of Thursday night community-building activities designed to enhance artistic skills and develop presentation confidence in local artists.

About LIVE
LIVE is open to everyone ages 16 and up and occurs on the first Thursday of the month. The first Thursday of the month will feature Costumed Figure Drawing. Parking is free and available in the Manhattan Beach Art Center parking lot or along Manhattan Beach Boulevard. This event is free (a $12 donation for models is suggested), and refreshments will be provided along with some great vibes!
