Live Oak Park (LOP) Activity: Innovation Hour
Today we will be creating a small floral arrangement for Memorial Day.

Manhattan Heights Park (MHP) Activity: GA GA GA
Ga Ga Ga involves 2 or more players, 8 tables and 1 dodgeball. The tables are setup in a circle so the ball cannot get out of the circle. One opening is made in the tables to let the players into the ring. A referee will hold onto the dodgeball and get ready to start the game. To start the game, each player must have one hand touching the edge of a table. Now the referee tosses the ball into the ring but the players cannot move until the ball bounces three times. Each time the ball bounces, the players say “Ga-Ga-Ga” and then the game begins. If a player’s hand leaves the table before the last “Ga,” they are out. Players must swat the ball at each other using only one hand and aiming for the other players below the knees. If the ball hits another player below the knees, they are out. If it hits them higher than the knee, they are in. If the ball goes out of the ring, the last player who touched the ball is now out. Players may use the table to their advantage because they are only allowed one touch on the ball unless it hits a player or the table; if a player hits the ball twice, they are out. The winner is the last player standing in the ring.

The REC Program is a user-pay program open to children ages 6 to 12 or children in grades 1st through 5th. Children will be participating in self-directed and organized recreational activities designed to positively impact social connections, human development, and lifelong learning. All activities are supervised by trained CPR certified recreation leaders. REC Program ratio: 1 leader per 13 children.
