Live Oak Park (LOP) Activity: Table Bowling
Two tables are placed parallel from each other. Three cones are placed at the end of each table (similar to bowling pins). Players take turns rolling a ball down the table to knock the cones down. The player with the most cones knocked over is the winner!
Manhattan Heights Park (MHP) Activity: Table Bowling and Innovation Hour

The REC Program is a user-pay program open to children ages 6 to 12 or children in grades 1st through 5th. Children will be participating in self-directed and organized recreational activities designed to positively impact social connections, human development, and lifelong learning. All activities are supervised by trained CPR certified recreation leaders. REC Program ratio: 1 leader per 13 children.
*Please note activities are subject to change based on weather and field maintenance.

- Pick up from four local elementary schools: Meadows Elementary, Pennekamp Elementary, Pacific Elementary, and Grand View Elementary during enrolled month.
- All day REC Program (7:15 AM to 6:00 PM) for MBUSD in-service days and minimum days during enrolled month.
- REC Camps during enrolled month: Fall (3 days), Winter (4 days each week x 2), Ski Week (5 days) and Spring Break (5 days) at both parks from 7:15 AM to 6:00 PM. Excludes REC Summer Camp.
REC Park Pass
If your child does not go to one of the listed elementary schools, or you do not have a need for the extended care program, the REC Park Pass is for you! Register for the REC Park Pass and drop off your child at the REC Program which includes all of the same days and hours as above.

Innovation Hour
The Innovation “Hour” Program is a 60 minute workshop created to offer more enriching projects, in comparison to the regularly scheduled recreation arts and crafts projects.
The City of Manhattan Beach is committed to exploring any and all programs which can consistently enhance the quality of life and expand each child’s arts learning opportunities. Projects include drawing, painting, paper mache, ceramics and more.
The Innovation “Hour” Program will take place once a week, at each Afterschool REC Program site. This activity will need an additional registration.
Monthly Fee: $35 per child

Registration confirmation must be brought to staff upon arrival. Any children not registered prior to attending REC Program will not be able to stay.
