The health and safety of our community remains top priority. Due to COVID-19, all picnic pads, recreation and athletic facilities/basketball courts/fields and playgrounds are CLOSED. Green space in all parks, tennis/paddle ball/pickleball courts, dog runs and some batting cages have opened. Please visit the Parks and Facilities page for more information.  
 
We encourage you to check out Healthy at Home for tips on how to stay active and recreate from the comfort of your own home. There are activities and classes for all ages.

The City is closely monitoring updates about the coronavirus from a variety of sources. Information regarding the coronavirus is changing frequently. For accurate and up to date information about COVID-19, please visit DPH's website, the City's website, sign up for eNotifications and Nixle public safety alerts, and follow the City on Facebook, Twitter, Nextdoor, and Instagram.

CANCELLED - Senior Advisory Committee (SAC) Meeting

This meeting has been cancelled in response to the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19). In addition, the City of Manhattan Beach has closed the Joslyn Community Center and cancelled all Older Adult Programming until the further notice. This action is taken out of an abundance of caution, and to protect the health and safety of the public, and older adults in particular that are vulnerable to COVID-19. In addition, following Governor Gavin Newsom’s recommendations to slow the spread of COVID-19, the City has postponed or cancelled special events with large public gatherings until further notice. The nine-member Senior Advisory Committee works in conjunction with the Parks and Recreation Department’s Older Adults Program to make recommendations regarding the delivery of senior programs, activities and policies. Meetings are held on the second Tuesday of each month at 1:00 PM at the Joslyn Community Center. For more information, feel free to contact the Senior Advisory Committee Liaison at (310) 802-5447.
