The Manhattan Beach Art Center (MBAC) welcomes exhibition proposals on an ongoing basis from artists working in all media and guest-curated exhibitions. The MBAC does not accept proposals to host exhibitions for juried shows, solo shows, art fairs, amateur artists or non-curated/ non-themed exhibitions.
Please read the following submission guidelines carefully. Submissions that do not follow these guidelines will not be reviewed. Before sending materials, we ask that you first familiarize yourself with MBAC by reviewing our past exhibitions and mission.

Completed submission form
Resume or CV
Disc of images illustrating proposed work
Hard copy list of works
Supporting materials such as catalogues, articles and press releases
Ensure contact information is labeled on all materials
Please Note: The MBAC is unable to return submitted materials.
- When is the best time to submit an exhibition proposal?
The best submission time frame for exhibition proposal is 3 years prior to exhibition opening. Under special circumstances exhibition proposals will be accepted 2 years in advance of the exhibition. Due to the high volume of proposals received by the MBAC, response time may vary; we ask that you refrain from calling the MBAC staff to inquire about the status of your materials. If your work appears both appropriate and timely for us to consider, we will contact you for a more formal review.
