Administrative Intern - IT (PT), Job No. 18-032

The City of Manhattan Beach is currently accepting applications for a part-time Administrative Intern. Under general supervision, the Administrative Intern will provide staff support for the Information Technology Department. This position will assist in performing special projects, complete miscellaneous duties as assigned, and do related work as required. The position will expose students to career options within a municipal government environment.

JOB FUNCTIONS:
In addition to the information provided above, the listed tasks are essential for this job, and may include, but are not limited to the following: assist with the Citywide network comprised of 360+ workstations, 65 network printers and VoIP phones; install, troubleshoot, and configure Windows, Microsoft Office, and other software applications on desktops and laptops; support network printers, multifunction copiers and other peripherals; assist with Internet and Intranet maintenance and administration.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Must be a student in good standing at an accredited college or university with major course work in public administration or a related field.

Training and Experience: No experience is necessary. Must possess a valid California driver's license at the time of employment.
