The City of Manhattan Beach is now accepting applications for the position of Information Systems (IS) Specialist. Under general supervision, the IS Specialist installs and maintains computer systems, network and related equipment; performs technical and administrative work in administering the City's network infrastructure and information systems, and does related work as required.
This position requires flexibility as they may be required to work extended hours, evenings, weekends, and/or holidays in order to complete projects and accommodate City needs.
Education: A Bachelors degree from an accredited college is required.
Experience: Three (3) years of technical experience in performing a full range of computer support and networking activities with direct customer contact and service is required. Technical certifications in Microsoft Office Software applications and helpdesk administration is desirable.
License: A valid California Class C driver's license at the time of employment and acceptable driving record is required.
