Manhattan Beach Library Commission Hosts Inaugural Lunch Club

Manhattan Beach, CA (May 3, 2018) – The City of Manhattan Beach Library Commission invites the community to join in a delicious lunch and literary discussion at their inaugural event, The Library Lunch Club, on Monday, May 14, 2018, from Noon to 1:30 p.m. The Library Lunch Club will host Seth Davis, CBS sports broadcaster and author of the book, Getting to Us: How Great Coaches Make Great Teams, where he reveals what all successful coaches need to win and how that translates to business leaders and entrepreneurs.

The City’s Library Lunch Club seeks to involve the community in the life of the Manhattan Beach Library and the Library in the life of the community. At this event, the community will get the chance to see their books come to life while enjoying a delicious lunch from local restaurants, like MB Post. These lunches will be opportunities for connecting and networking, and the Library Commission is excited to host this opportunity.

Lunch will be served on the patio behind the Manhattan Beach Library, and the ticket price of $35.00 per person includes lunch and a copy of Seth’s book. Tickets may be purchased through the City’s website or at City Hall during regular business hours.

Tickets must be purchased by Friday, May 11th.

The Library Commission serves in an advisory capacity to the City Council regarding library services provided by the Los Angeles County Library System to the citizens of Manhattan Beach.  The Commission also acts as a liaison between the City and public/private community groups supportive of library services. The Commission meets on the 2nd Monday of each month at 6:00 PM.
