2015 After School REC

The REC Program is a user pay program that is open to children 5 ½ to 12. Children will have access to the serenity and inspiration of nature and outdoor space to play and exercise. The program provides self-directed and organized recreation activities that are designed to positively impact the lives of the children. The program offers activities that facilitate social connections, human development, the arts, and lifelong learning. Children are encouraged to participate in all scheduled activities; however, if they choose not to, alternative activities are available. All programs are supervised by trained CPR certified recreation leaders.
Dedicated space for After School REC is available at each of the two program sites: Live Oak Park and Manhattan Heights Park. REC Vacation Days is held at Marine Avenue Park and REC Summer Camp is held at Live Oak Park or Marine Avenue Park. All locations are subject to change. These facilities include a variety of arts and crafts work areas and supplies, board games, Foosball and carom tables and other equipment for a variety of outdoor sports. We also do Wii Sports!
