The City of Manhattan Beach currently operates and maintains an extensive sanitary sewer system. The gravity system consists of approximately 81.6 miles (430,784 linear feet) of pipe, and 2,086 manholes and cleanouts. The wastewater system also includes eight (8) pump stations and 5,114 linear feet of associated force mains to lift wastewater from the lower elevation areas to the gravity system. The City is seeking proposals from highly qualified consultants to prepare options for consideration and final design packages to upgrade, rehabilitate and/or relocate three of these wastewater pump stations at the following locations: Pacific Avenue, Poinsettia Avenue, and Voorhees Avenue.
