City Hall is located at 1400 Highland Avenue in Manhattan Beach, CA 90266. Extended service hours for residents in the community, as well as vendors or business-owners are:

  • Monday through Thursday - 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM
  • Friday - 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM

The City can also be reached via phone (310) 802-5000. We are closed on all major holidays. Public parking is available adjacent to City Hall via 15th Street parking lot entrance.

REC Program (After School REC, REC Camps, REC Summer Camp)

After School REC
The REC Program is a user-pay program open to children ages 6 to 12 or children in grades 1st through 5th. The REC Program offers: homework time, arts and crafts, music, dance parties, movies, fitness fun, snacks, gardening, cooking, sports, tournaments, themed activities, late-night REC events, contests, and much more! Special workshops and activities will also be offered in collaboration with the Manhattan Beach Library, Growing Great and more. REC Program ratio: 1 leader per 13 children.

Children will be participating in self-directed and organized recreational activities designed to positively impact social connections, human development, and lifelong learning. All activities are supervised by trained CPR certified recreation leaders.

Included in the new fee structure, the REC Program offers after school pick up from four local elementary schools: Meadows Elementary, Pennekamp Elementary, Pacific Elementary, and Grand View Elementary. REC Program staff will meet the children at each school and walk them to their home park. Students from Meadows and Pennekamp will walk to Manhattan Heights Park and students form Pacific and Grand View will walk to Live Oak Park. REC Program Staff will depart from the schools in two groups (grades 1st through 3rd/ grades 4th through 5th). Each group will begin walking 10 minutes after dismissal time.

REC Camp
REC Camps are user pay programs that are open to children ages 6 to 12. Children will have access to the serenity and inspiration of nature and outdoor space to play and exercise. The program provides self-directed and organized recreation activities that are designed to positively impact the lives of the children. The program offers activities that facilitate social connections, human development, the arts, and lifelong learning. Children are encouraged to participate in all scheduled activities; however, if they choose not to, alternate activities are available. All programs are supervised by trained CPR certified recreation leaders. REC Camp is active during the Manhattan Beach Unified School District vacations and when the After School REC program is not in session. There is a limit of 80 children maximum per week. Registration confirmation is required at the first day of the program.

REC Summer Camp
REC Summer Camp is a user pay program for children ages 6 to 12. This recreation program incorporates education and fun. We strive to provide these services in a fun, safe and wholesome environment that allows our young people to grow as individuals while interacting as a group. Children are encouraged to participate in all scheduled activities; however, if they choose not to, alternate activities are available. All programs are supervised by trained CPR certified recreation leaders. The REC Summer Camp is an eight-week program held June through August. This program is concurrent with the Manhattan Beach Unified School District vacation schedule. Participants may register week by week or for the entire summer at a discounted rate. There is a limit of 80 children maximum per week.
