Official Election Results

A canvass was held at 8:00 AM on Monday, March 9, 2015 in the City Council Chambers at Manhattan Beach City Hall. There were 552 Vote-by-Mail ballots and Provisional ballots counted in today’s canvass. The canvass consists of opening the returned vote-by-mail ballot envelopes, removing the ballots, accurately duplicating any damaged or defective ballots, and preparing the ballots for the ballot count.

A manual hand tally of a randomly selected precinct (Precinct 1) was conducted to ensure accuracy and consistency with the electronic ballot counter; as well as the counting of the Vote-by-Mail ballots dropped off at the polls on election day and the Vote-by-Mail ballots postmarked by March 3, 2015 (and received in the City Clerk’s office prior to 5:00 PM on Friday, March 6, 2015).

Attached are the Official Election results (PDF) for the March 3, 2015 General Municipal Election. The Resolution certifying the March 3, 2015 General Municipal Election will be placed on the March 17, 2015 City Council Meeting Agenda.
