City services are available Mondays through Thursdays 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM and Fridays 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM.  Community Development online services are available 24/7. City Hall and Community Development is open to the public by pre-scheduled appointment only.

In addition to reaching Community Development at cdadmin@citymb.info or 310-802-5500, you have additional options to access Community Development services. Citizen Self Service (CSS) is the primary one-stop service portal where you can:

  •  Search Public Records
  • Apply for a permit including upload plans
  • Check application status
  • Pay an invoice
  • Request inspections and see inspection results
  • Submit a Code Enforcement concern

To obtain a copy of building plans submit a Public Records Request.

Should you still need assistance with either a Permits Technician, Planner or for Records Research you may schedule an in-person appointment using the appropriate selection below.

 

NOTE:

Public and staff safety is of paramount concern to us. All persons entering City Hall are required to wear a face covering and respect social distancing of 6 feet at all times. You will not be allowed to enter City Hall and/or will be escorted out of the building if you do not cooperate.

To keep others safe, do not enter City Hall if you are experiencing any symptoms such as cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fever, chills, repeated shaking with chills, muscle pain, headache, sore throat, new loss of taste new loss of smell—please self-isolate and stay at home.

 

Once you click on the “Reserve Now” tab below, you will be prompted to create a log-in using an email and password. This is a different system from CSS and you will need to Register for an account in order to make an appointment. Once your email has been confirmed, you will be able to log-in and reserve a one-hour in-person appointment.

You will need to provide the following information:

  1. Your Name
  2. Your Contact Information
  3. Project Address & Description &/or Purpose of Business -noted under the comments section

City Hall is open to the public by pre-scheduled appointment only. Please wait at the front door of City Hall (1400 Highland Avenue - UPPER PARKING LOT LEVEL off 15th Street) for your appointment time to be let into the building. See NOTE above. If you arrive late for your appointed time, you may have to reschedule for another appointment which you can do on-line.
