Message to our Community:

Summer is here and we are excited to offer you some reprieve to the Safer at Home order. In concurrence with the LA County Public Health Order several park amenities for individual and family use only are open including, park open green space, the strand, Begg pool, various batting cages, public tennis, pickleball and paddle ball courts (online reservation required).

Like you, we miss recreation and leisure and we understand both promote health and wellness in body and mind. Although we miss the pre-COVID-19 lifestyles and programs, it's important we take a moment to remind ourselves the virus still exists and we need to take precautionary measures when re-opening to ensure the health of participants and employees exist, therefore, our new operations include modifications such as maintaining physical distance and a requirement to wear a face covering during various activities. As we look ahead, we continue to see uncertainty; however, we continue to work closely with LA County Officials to provide you with additional recreation opportunities.

We understand the uncertainty of not knowing what the future holds makes it challenging to plan your summer; therefore, we encourage you to visit the MANHAPPENINGS webpage for class, camp and virtual program offerings and registration updates. For City park, facility and amenity updates, please visit Parks and Facilities webpage. Thank you for all your patience and understanding as we work through this fluid situation as a result of the pandemic together.
