Aili David is a senior and reporter/photographer for the award-winning Mustang Morning News. This video highlights the Dial-A-Ride program and it’s role in the community for our older adult and disabled population.
The Manhattan Beach Older Adults Program is currently seeking volunteers to assist with activities at the Joslyn Community Center. Volunteers are needed to help staff the reception desk in the recently remodeled lobby of the Community Center and to assist with our popular nutrition program, The Lunch Bunch. If you are able to commit to a three hour shift weekly and would like to help your community by working in a pleasant, vibrant environment, please contact the Older Adults Program, at (310) 802-5430.
The City of Manhattan Beach provides a variety of activities and services for older adults including Dial-A-Ride transportation, bus excursions, classes, activities and Senior Clubs and much more. The Older Adults Program is continuing to expand the programs and activities available to the citizens of Manhattan Beach, as well as those in surrounding communities.
