An entertaining tribute show with professional "dead ringers" for their real-life counterparts impersonating well-loved performers using their own voices. Presented at the Camelot Theater in Palm Springs, enjoy internationally acclaimed tribute artists of Cher, Elton John, Liza Minnelli, and Tom Jones. Lunch at the Terrace Restaurant at the Palm Springs Hilton is included. Pick up and drop off will be at both Joslyn community (JCC) and Manhattan Heights Park (MHP).

Enjoy the history of California, first touring the 8,500 square foot Camp Pendleton Ranch House, Santa Margarita y Las Flores Ranch House on the National Register of Historic Sites. Followed by a guided tour of the former home of actor Leo Carrillo, a 2,500 acre ranch by Carlsbad. Lunch is buffet style at the Green Dragon Tavern and Museum with main entree choices of grilled chicken breast and baked cod. Pick up and drop off will be at both Joslyn community (JCC) and Manhattan Heights Park (MHP).

Cindy is taking a small group to the downtown Los Angeles library for a special Art exhibit. The exhibit "21 Collections: Every Object has a story!" This exhibit examines the role collections play in telling our stories and those of our communities and Los Angeles at large. Bring your walking shoes and lunch money, as lunch is on your own. Bus departs from Manhattan Heights.
Beach Cities Symphony

The Beach Cities Symphony gives four free high quality classical music concerts each year at El Camino College in Torrance, California. They have been performing since 1949, so this is their 66th anniversary season. Join us for dazzling music from Serge Rachmaninoff, Alexander Borodin, Esther Keel and Johannes Brahms. Trip needs a minimum of 4 people.

Tour the famed Taj Mahal and the Red Fort. Ride elephants, take a boat ride on the Ganges River, and travel across Norther India by train. Explore the mountain top villages of the Himalayas and the jungles of Kolkata all the while experiencing the culture and life of the people that make India so fascinating. Trip needs a minimum of 4 people.
About Bus Trips
The Parks and Recreation Department plans many exciting and fun bus trips to various locations throughout the year that allow community members to economically visit some of the region's popular and unique destinations. Trips are designed for specific age and interest groups including youth ages 6 to 12 years old, teens ages 12 to 14 years old, adults and seniors. Most trips are to destinations that can be reached in two hours or less and each trip is led by one or two Parks and Recreation staff members and a trained volunteer who act as tour guides. Excursions are listed according to date with an indication if the trip is limited to a single age group. Click on a specific item to find out more information about the trip. Please call the Parks and Recreation Department at (310) 802-5448 or email if you have questions after reviewing the trip descriptions, rules and regulations.
Registration for bus excursions can be done online or at the Parks and Recreation Department located at City Hall (1400 Highland Avenue, Manhattan Beach) Monday through Thursday 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM; alternate Fridays 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (City Hall is closed alternating Fridays). Registrations for certain trips such as "Mini-Bus Trips" are done directly through the Older Adults Program by calling (310) 802-5430 or stopping by the Older Adults office at the Joslyn Community Center, 1601 North Valley Drive, Manhattan Beach, CA 90266.

There are no assigned seats; there are two pick up locations. IF YOU RIDE THE BUS WITH US, THEN YOU RIDE BACK WITH US. All participants must bring their bus trip receipt and photo identification on all bus excursions.

We do not accept registrations over the phone.
All refunds are subject to a $25 administration fee. Refunds after the trip deadline will be made only when your reservation can be filled from the waiting list or by a person designated by you. Replacement's name and waiver form must be in our office 24 hours prior to tour departure or in case of a Sunday/Monday departure no later than 12:00 PM on Wednesday. Due to insurance reasons there can be no passenger substitutions the day of the tour.
