The health and safety of our community remains top priority. Due to COVID-19, all parks, picnic pads, recreation and athletic facilities/courts/fields and playgrounds are CLOSED.  Furthermore, to prevent the spread of Coronavirus, all gatherings are prohibited until further notice.

All park reservations through the end of April will be canceled and customers will receive a full refund.

Park and Facility Reservation Information

  • Reservation request can be submitted online.
  • All fees must be paid at the time of reservation.  
  • Residents may reserve facilities up to six months in advance. Nonresidents may reserve up to two months in advance. All reservations must be made at least ten working days prior to the event date. 
  • Proof of residency is required (i.e. current utility bill with name and address).
  • All reservations are not booked or confirmed until you have spoken with the Facility Reservation Clerk.

Refund and cancellation Policy

All reservations are rain or shine meaning they will not be cancelled or rescheduled due to inclement weather. All cancellations or rescheduling must be completed by the person who made the initial reservation. All cancellations and reschedules must be made in writing to the reservation clerk. The following cancellation policy applies:

  • All cancellations are subject to a $25 administrative fee.
  • All refunds for cash and check transactions will be made via check at City Hall and mailed to the address filled out on the initial reservation application, any credit/debit card refunds will be issued from City Hall the following business day. No refunds can be given at the site of your reservation.
  • All cancellations must be made in writing and submitted by email, fax, or in-person no less than five (5) business days before your scheduled reservation date in order to receive a refund.

If the reservation is rescheduled during the same time as the cancellation, there is no cancellation charge. Stipulations are as follows:

  • Requests to reschedule a reservation must be made in writing and submitted by email, fax, or in-person to the reservation clerk.
  • Subject to availability, the same site might not be available on the rescheduled day, you will be told the alternatives for you to make a decision.
  • The rescheduled reservation must be made at the same time as the cancellation; we cannot reschedule a reservation after a cancellation has been made.

Rainy Day Policy:

  • Cancellations due to weather conditions must be made no less than 24 hours before your scheduled reservation time in order to receive your refund.
  • All reservations are rain or shine. Reservations will not be canceled or rescheduled by staff due to inclement weather unless the reservation clerk is notified in writing before the scheduled reservation time.
  • Cancellations and reschedules can only be requested by the person who made the initial reservation.
  • Failure to arrive at a scheduled event and/or failure to provide written cancellation notification to the reservation clerk during regular business hours will be considered a "No-Show" and all deposits and fees will be forfeited.

    Athletic Field Reservation
    Athletic Field reservations for private use are not available for the month of February and September.

    For detailed descriptions and information of each park, refer to the menu on the left.

    Sand Dune Reservations
    For Sand Dune reservation assistance only, please contact the Parks and Recreation Department at (310) 802-5448, Monday through Thursday, 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM; Fridays 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM. Reservations cannot be made through City Hall.

    1. All patrons age 13 and older must have a reservation to use the dune. 
    2. Reservation times are for one hour only, per day, per patron.  

    On the Day of Your Reservation

    1. A printed or online reservation receipt must be presented to dune attendant.  Attendant does not have access to online reservations.  
    2. You will be asked to sign in with dune attendant. 
    3. Please be prepared to show a valid identification card. 
    4. No-shows may result in account cancellation. Please Note: If you are unable to make your reservation, call the Parks and Recreation Department at (310) 802-5448 before your scheduled reservation time. Leave a message on the voicemail indicating that you are unable to attend your reservation on the dune along with your name, reservation time and permit number.
