Batting Cages at Dorsey Field ONLY

Per City Council direction on June 2, 20200, the Dorsey Field batting cages will re-open for use with restrictions tentatively starting Monday, June 8, 2020.

HOW TO MAKE A BATTING CAGE RESERVATION

  1. Click on the Batting Cage Reservations button above
  2. Once on the reservation site, click on the green Reservations button/box
  3. Click on the dropdown next to “select location” then change the date.
    1. Make sure to leave time range blank
  4. Check Availability
  5. Event Name
  6. Enter Number of guest, max is 2
  7. Initials under “agreement waiver”
  8. Add partner’s name to custom question box

GUIDELINES

  • Max 2 per designated area
  • Players may reserve a maximum of one 1-hour reservation per day
  • Players should arrive no more than ten minutes prior to their reservation time
  • Upon arriving, please check in to the Live Oak Park Tennis office
  • Players should bring their own water and hand sanitizer or disinfecting wipes to wash hands frequently
  • Proper social distancing must be adhered to inside batting cage
  • No athletic equipment is to be shared between users
  • Use of pitching machine is prohibited
  • Participants must bring and use their own baseballs
  • Participants are encouraged to wear a face covering in the park and batting cage
  • Participants are asked to leave the facility immediately after play, no congregating
  • Personal training is prohibited (12.48.070)

OPERATIONS

  • Limited hours 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM daily based on reservation
  • Final reservation at 5:00 PM
  • Hourly reservations, max 1 per day
  • Online reservations available 3 days in advance up to 2 hours prior to reservation 

Fee (NON-REFUNDABLE)

  • Residents: $0  Non-Residents: $3

Tennis Court/Paddle Ball Court/Pickleball Reservations

GUIDELINES FOR PLAY:

  • Singles play only
  • Reservations will be for 50 minutes to allow plenty of time for players to vacate before the next reservation arrives
  • Players may reserve a maximum of 1 - one hour reservation per day
  • Players should arrive no more than ten minutes prior to their reservation time.
  • Face covering are required when checking in.
  • Upon arriving, please check in to the office.
  • Players should bring their own water and hand sanitizer or disinfecting wipes to wash hands frequently.
  • No equipment is to be shared between players.
  • Each Player will bring their own tennis balls and racquet to play with.
  • Each player will mark their balls with clear and unique markings
  • Players will only serve and touch their own tennis balls.
  • When another player’s ball needs to be returned to them, it will be rolled or hit to them with a racquet, without touching the ball in any way, a historical common practice.
  • At no time will any player need to touch or hold another player’s tennis balls.
  • Players are encouraged to not switch ends while playing. If switching does take place, then cross over on the opposite sides of the court.
  • Players are asked to leave the facility immediately after play. No congregating.
  • Modifications to existing reservations must be made 24 hours in advance via email
  • No lessons permitted.

PERSONAL HEALTH AND SAFETY:

  • Players will be required to wash their hands prior to arrival, and upon leaving the facility.
  • Players are required to wear face coverings when checking in, encouraged to wear a face mask around the facility, but wearing during play is optional

PLAYERS WILL NOT BE PERMITTED TO PLAY IF:

  • They exhibit any symptoms associated with the coronavirus: (mild to severe respiratory illness with fever, cough and difficulty breathing, or other symptoms identified by the CDC)
  • Have been in contact with someone with COVID‐19 in the last 14 days

FACILITIES:

  • Where possible, each facility will be clearly marked with designated paths of travel.
  • All moveable furniture will be removed from the area to prevent congregating and touching.
  • All stationary furniture will be roped off to prevent congregating and touching.
  • All court gates will remain open to prevent touching.
  • All court entrances equipped with signage communicating CDC and county guidelines and expectations.
  • All benches and seating will be removed, whenever possible to prevent social congregation.
