2019 - 2020 Teen Center School Year Brochure CoverThe Teen Center School Year Program is a drop in, noncustodial program, open to all 6th through 8th graders (ages 11 to 14) living in Manhattan Beach, attending a Manhattan Beach school or whose parents work in Manhattan Beach. The Teen Center program schedule is concurrent with the Manhattan Beach Unified School District. We are open on most school holidays and in-service days. The teen center provides plenty of indoor and outdoor space to play and exercise and has a variety of exciting and engaging activities available each day. Daily options may include arts and crafts, basketball, volleyball, rock climbing wall, ping pong, billiards, foosball, Xbox Kinect, PlayStation 4, retro arcade games, Nintendo Wii U, movies and more!

Teen Center ONLY residents/nonresident qualifications

  • Teens qualify for Teen Center resident rates if they are: Living in Manhattan Beach, attending a Manhattan Beach school or their parents work in Manhattan Beach
  • Teens are considered nonresidents if they are: NOT Living in Manhattan Beach, NOT attending a Manhattan Beach school or whose parents DO NOT work in Manhattan Beach

  •  Teen are required to sign in when they arrive and sign out when the leave.
  •  The Teen Center also offers homework help between the hours of 3:00 PM to 4:30 PM. Teens are also able to use free City Wi-Fi.
  • The Teen Center Resident fee includes fall, winter, ski week and spring breaks.
  • The non-resident teen must be registered separately for each fall, winter, ski week and spring breaks.
  • All teens must be registered prior to participation in the Teen Center program. Registration is available online or in the Parks and Recreation Department located in Manhattan Beach City Hall.
